Ruminant Reality

The video of my presentation at the Ancestral Health Symposium 2012 has bee posted on YouTube.

I titled the talk "The Reality of Ruminants and Liebeg's Barrel: Examining the New 'Conventional Wisdom.'" (links are to previous posts) They say that whenever you give a talk you actually give three: There's the talk you plan to give; there's the one you give; and there's the one you think you should have given. The talk I think I should have given isn't too different from the one captured by this video.

  1. Hi Pete,

Great job in challenging orthodoxy (conventional wisdom). I strongly believe that there is another orthodoxy that you can help challenge in tandem that will help your own cause. It is that grazing animals CAUSE desertification. To the contrary, according to Allan Savory, if managed holistically (rational: André Voisin), grazing animals can be used to mimic nature and actually reverse/reduce desertification which is the major contributor to global warming our threatens our existence... I believe The Savory Institute is holding a conference in Boulder in June. Maybe you should be a speaker there. What do you think?
